Celebrity spirits writer, and Oklahoma native, Fred Minnick just released his new book, Rum Curious. In honor of this auspicious occasion--and to acknowledge America's turn towards this incredibly complex and historic spirit--we wanted to share one of our favorite rum spirits with our followers.

After sipping at a private preview tasting at The Jones Assembly, there’s no other way to say it:  me and Mr. Jones? We’ve got a thing goin’ on. Beverage Director Charles Friedrichs kindly agreed to share a rum recipe with Territory readers. The secret to the charm of the Bridgetown? Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum from Barbados, which brings luscious notes of banana on the nose, and subtle banana and chocolate to the palate. —VP
